Due to its crucial role in immune regulation, IL4 has been a significant focus in immunology research.

The IL4RA protein, also known as the interleukin-4 receptor alpha chain, is an important cell surface receptor primarily involved in regulating the immune system. When it binds with interleukin-4 (IL-4), it triggers signaling pathways that promote T cell differentiation and B cell proliferation. IL4RA plays a significant role in allergic reactions and asthma, and its gene polymorphisms are associated with susceptibility to various immune-related diseases.
